In short: Grown-ups make the account, children read and write under their care, there are no ads, we keep as little data as possible, and you can download or delete it any time.

1. Who can use Kathakite

Accounts are for parents and guardians aged 18 or over. Children may read and write stories only under the care of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for their use of the service.

2. Your stories

• You must have written the story yourself, or directed and checked it yourself if AI tools helped (see the next point). Do not copy stories, poems or songs from anywhere else.
• If an AI tool (such as a chatbot) helped, say so on the submission form. You are still responsible for reading it, for making sure it is not copied from anyone, and for following these terms. We show a small label on AI-assisted stories and may reject stories that look mass-produced or low effort. [Who owns AI-written text is unsettled: ask your lawyer to confirm this wording.]
• You keep ownership of your story. You give Kathakite permission to show it on the website and apps, and to adjust its formatting, for as long as it is published.
• Do not include real names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, school names, links or any personal details, yours or anyone else’s.
• Stories must be suitable for the age group chosen. See the Community rules.

3. Review and removal

Every submitted story is read by a reviewer before it is published. We may reject, edit the formatting of, or take down any story, and may close accounts that break these terms. Readers can report a story at any time.

4. No ads

Kathakite does not show advertising to children.

5. The service

We work hard to keep the service running but provide it “as is”, without guarantees. Features may change. If we make important changes to these terms we will tell you on the site.
