Privacy Policy

Draft text: have a lawyer review it before you launch.

In short: Grown-ups make the account, children read and write under their care, there are no ads, we keep as little data as possible, and you can download or delete it any time.

1. What we collect

• Account: parent or guardian email, password (stored securely by our login provider), pen name, preferred language, and the time you confirmed parental consent.
• Stories: the stories you write, with the pen name you choose to show. Your real name is never shown.
• Activity: which stories you finished, liked or saved, and any reports you send.

We do not collect location, contacts, photos, or microphone audio. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

2. Why we use it

To run your account, show your stories, keep your stars and rangoli, review stories for safety, and handle reports.

3. Cookies

Only essential ones: your login session and your language choice.

4. Who we share it with

• Our database and login provider (Supabase) and our website host, who store and serve the data for us.
• An email service, to send sign-up emails.
• Optionally a text-safety service: only the text of a submitted story is sent to check it, with no names, emails or account details.

We do not sell personal data.

5. Children

Children’s use is through a parent or guardian account. A parent or guardian gives consent when creating the account and may ask us to delete the account and stories at any time.

6. Your choices

• Download your data and delete your account from your Profile page. Deleting removes your account, progress, likes and saved stories, and your stories if you choose that option.
• For anything else, write to contact@example.com.

7. How long we keep data

While your account exists. When you delete it, we remove the data above. Backups may take a short time to clear.
